What is the Nature Walk?

Join us on Tuesday, June 18th from 12:10 - 1:00 pm rain or shine at the RAWC entrance (Recreation, Athletics and Wellness Centre) for a Nature Walk and Talk along the UTM trail led by UTM Indigenous Advisor, Cat Criger. The walk will share some Indigenous philosophies touching on moving into the upcoming season. Some thoughts on self-guidance in our personal roles and goals as seasons change.

This initiative is in partnership with UTM Athletics and in collaboration with the Equity and Diversity Office and the UTM Indigenous Centre.

*A brief smudging ceremony will take place prior to the start of the Nature Walk.

This event is part of UTM Athletics' Wellness Routes InitiativeWellness Routes is a program aimed to engage students, staff and faculty in activities that promote well-being and resiliency. By walking through campus and the surrounding areas, participants will learn the impact of physical health on mental health and wellbeing.
