What is a Community Engagement Ambassador?

Community Engagement Ambassadors (CEAs) are enthusiastic student leaders responsible for marketing. participating and developing leadership skills in Community Engagement programming throughout the year.

Tasks involve: 

  • Participating in Community Impact Days throughout the year 
  • Assist with the planning and promotion of Community Impact Days  
  • Create awareness for Community Engaged Learning programs and events on campus through different marketing means 

What you gain from being a Community Engagement Ambassador: 

  • The opportunity to volunteer at many different organizations in the GTA-West in different fields 
  • Make a difference in the community  
  • Build your resume and gain experience 
  • Apply classroom learning to real life situations  
  • Meet and connect with fellow UTM students, staff members, and community partners
  • Receive a Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Validation 
  • Build your skills through orientation training and the project  

Time Commitment  

  • Participate in weekly meetings starting the first week of October 
  • Attend 3 Community Impact Days per semester 
  • Assist in promotional activities to recruit volunteers for Community Engaged Learning programs
