Girl Guides of Canada–Guides du Canada (GGC ) is the leading organization for girls and women in Canada, with 83,000 members across the country. Guiding provides a safe environment that invites girls and young women to challenge themselves, find their voice, meet new friends, have fun and make a difference in the world. Guiding offers the widest range of activities of any extracurricular activity for girls and young women, with opportunities to explore the arts, sciences, outdoor challenges, global awareness and so much more through enriching experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime.

The Project 

On March 24th from 12:45-4:15pm the Girl Guides Community Innovation Project at UTM is inviting Girl Guides of Peel youth to engage in a one day STEM day 

Where: UTM Faculty Club (DV 3140) 

Please arrive by 12:00pm to help with set-up and training! 

The purpose of this event is to champion girls’ rights and gender equality at UTM. Our event will serve to introduce and expose female youth in our community to STEM (Science, technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and many of the opportunities within this field. UTM student volunteers will gain a variety of skills including: advocacy, facilitating workshops, teamwork and event planning/coordination.
