Available Position - Team Lead, Co-Curricular Record

The Team Lead, Co-Curricular Record oversees the growth of UTM’s Co-Curricular Record (CCR). They are responsible for supporting the visibility of the campus's CCR through the development of promotional and marketing plans, an assessment strategy and training materials for student organizations and clubs. They meet with campus partners to support the creation of new CCR submissions and ensure that newly added CCR opportunities offer skill development and reflection to UTM students. Further, the Team Lead, Co-Curricular Record trains and leads a team of CCR Assistants throughout the Fall/Winter whose role is to support student groups in receiving CCR recognition. The Team Lead, Co-Curricular Record also supports the creation and facilitation of leadership programming.

Available Position - Community Innovation Team Leader

The Community Innovation Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the leadership of Alternative Reading Week and Civic Engagement programming This includes the development of training sessions, team meetings and one-on-one meetings, and keeping track of the day to day work of these two teams of Community Engagement Assistants. The candidate is also responsible for some administrative and development support of both Alternative Reading Week and Civic Engagement Programming.

The Second Year Support Team Lead will work alongside the Student Engagement Events Coordinator, Second Year Support to help oversee a team of student staff to support the development and implementation of a series of resources and initiatives targeted at second-year students as they continue to navigate their UTM experience in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This role will support the delivery of co-curricular events focused on building a culture of engagement and academic supports for second-year students.

Available Position - Community Mentorship Assistant

The Community Mentorship roles within the Centre for Student Engagement works alone or in pairs to facilitate assigned programs. They are expected to participate in weekly team meetings, recruitment and outreach activities. Mentors and facilitators must have strong communication and facilitation skills. Depending on the program, mentors and facilitators will be supporting other UTM students or local youth and may be required to develop curriculum for program participants. Mentorship and facilitation programs include Bigs on Campus, Black Youth Mentorship, Peer Mentorship, Alumni Mentorship and utmLEAD.

Available Position - Pathway Program Mentor

The Pathway Program Mentor will mentor approx. 15 participants of the UTM Pathway Program and UTM Refugee Program through the Fall and Winter term. Through emails, in-person workshops, and 1:1 meetings the Pathway Mentor will assist the participants in their transition to UTM.

Available Position - Grad Connect Assistant

This posting is now up on CLNx! The Grad Connect Assistant is responsible for assisting in the creation, organization, implementation and assessment of the Grad Connect mentorship program at UTM. This position requires a graduate student who is interested in building community between the undergraduate and the graduate population. The graduate student employed as a Grad Connect Assistant will work in collaboration with an undergraduate Grad Connect Assistant in supporting the Grad Connect program.
