CSE Faculty Engagement Form – Winter Term 2019

We invite you to participate in a variety of student programming offered by the Centre for Student Engagement at UTM in the Winter term of 2018-19 academic year and beyond.

Please review the list of opportunities to get engaged with CSE programming below and let us know your interest and availability by filling in and submitting this Web form before 9 AM on Monday, December 10, 2018. You will not be committing to participation by submitting the form. Faculty members who expressed interest in supporting an event or an initiative will be contacted by a CSE staff member to discuss and confirm details in due course.

All instructors participating in CSE programming receive PTR letters at the end of the year outlining their contributions to our programming.

Engaging Faculty Events (EFE)
Through their formal and informal roles as teachers and mentors, faculty members model intellectual work, promote mastery of knowledge and skills, and help students make connections between their studies and their future plans. Let us know if you are interested in hosting or joining an activity such as a Board Game Night, a UTM Escape Room (on campus, created in-house!), a meal with a group of students, a teach-us-your-craft event, or suggest your own activity! Event timing and other details will be discussed with interested instructors. We usually offer one EFE each month. Learn more about EFEs here: http://www.utm.utoronto.ca/transition/all-students/engaging-faculty-events
If you are interested in participating in EFEs and have a preference for a particular month, please select your preference(s). An event coordinator will contact you to discuss date and time later. By indicating which month you are available, the activity is already selected with that month. Feel free to check multiple months.
Youth Day
We invite youth from Grades 7 through 12 from the Peel region to take part in programming at UTM for a day/afternoon/evening. Our goal is to engage youth in seeing the value of Post-Secondary Education (PSE). Join our programming of the day to help provide them with the opportunity to explore campus, interact and learn from university students and attend workshops on how to access post-secondary education. Event timing and other details will be discussed with interested instructors.
If you are interested in participating in a Youth Day and have a preference for a particular month, please select your preference(s). An event coordinator will contact you to discuss date and time later. Feel free to check multiple months.
CCR Local Evaluation Committee
You are invited to join the CCR Local Evaluation Committee. The Committee meets approximately once a month during the fall/winter terms for a total of 5 to 6 meetings a year. The committee is made up of staff, students and faculty and they look at data from the co-curricular record and provide recommendations of how we can advocate for, improve, and better capture co-curricular experiences on the CCR. Faculty sit on this committee for a 2 year term.
Please indicate below if you are interested in joining the CCR Evaluation Committee.
