Our community is designed to help you succeed. There are a variety of support services, resources, events, and campus spaces that have been created with you in mind. Take a moment to explore the many ways that UTM is here for you: 

Campus Resource Guides
Accessibility Services
  • Students who have a documented temporary or permanent disability can partner with Accessibility Services to ensure that they can freely and actively participate in all aspects of university life.
  • Exam support for qualifying students may include: extra time to write the exam; rest breaks; quiet spaces to write the exam; specialized technology, and more. 
Athletics & Recreation
  • Physical health is an important part of your overall well-being, and it's a great way to de-stress during exam time. 
  • Whether you're looking for group fitness, women's-only hours, sports, certifications, and more, there's something for everyone at the RAWC!
Centre for Student Engagement
  • Exam Jam is one of the largest events for students, and takes place twice a year to support you through a stressful time.
  • Attendees will earn a Co-Curricular Record (CCR) notation for participating. 
Health & Counselling Centre
  • Students can make appointments to meet with a friendly physician, nurse, or personal counsellor. With a wide range of services, students can find information and support for mental health, wellness, general health concerns, sexual health, personal counselling group therapy and more. 
  • Additional resources are available off-campus. Please take a moment to review the list of services that are available. 
  • The Wellness Hub offers weekly events in Room 2077A in the Davis Building. 
  • The Be Well Fair takes place every September. 
  • Let's Talk UTM takes place in January in support of Bell Let's Talk Day to bring together our community and promote open conversations about mental health.
Library
Office of the Registrar
  • Our team of Academic and Financial Aid Advisors offer you one-on-one specialized support to help you meet your goals, discover new opportunities, or fine-tune different academic or financial plans. 
  • If you miss your exam, the Office of the Registrar can guide you through your next steps and help you understand the deferred exams process
Study Spaces on Campus
Student Housing & Residence Life
  • Get to know your REF! Your Residence Education Facilitators (REFs, formerly known as PALs) help first-year students transition to university. 
  • In each residence, there is a Don-On-Duty available to help you with any emergency situation when your own Don is unavailable and the Residence Services Desk is closed. Call 289-805-0580
TCard Office
  • Replace your TCard for a $20 fee, or check their lost and found to see if it has been turned in. 
  • Visit any TCard Office for support. An office is conveniently located at each of the three campuses. 
Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre
  • Facilitated Study Groups (FSGs): any student is welcome, and you can attend as many sessions as you want! FSGs are run by senior students who have previously done well in the course. View the FSG Schedule.  
  • From time management to effective reading, to study skills, there are a variety of tipsheets and videos to help you prepare for your exam.  
  • Take advantage of the many different types of appointments - from drop in sessions for writing & study skills to math skills, or one-on-one appointments, there are in-person or online sessions. 
Walk Safe Program
  • Campus Safety help keep you safe anytime of the day or night. You can have someone escort you to your location, and wait with you at the bus stop through the Walk Safe Program
