Temporary Absences

While you are enrolled in a course, you are required to declare your absence on ACORN in order to receive academic accommodation for any course work such as missed tests, late assignments, and final examinations.

Students declare absences via their ACORN account on the day of their absence (or by the day after, at the latest).

Absences include those due to illness, death in the family, religious accommodation or other circumstances beyond their control.

In addition, students must also follow the absence policies of the department and the instructor, which may require additional documentation.
