Siqi (Fermi) Fei

Siqi (Fermi) Fei is a fifth-year Computer Science and Statistics student at the University of Toronto Mississauga. She is currently completing a full-time co-op focused on AI model development and evaluation. She is passionate about the intersection of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and computing education, and is particularly interested in how AI can be applied to solve real-world problems and bridge industry innovation with academic research. RLEA’s work on AI-driven image recognition inspired her because it applies these technologies to archaeological and environmental questions, revealing how machine learning can advance scientific understanding. Through her work at RLEA, she hopes to contribute her technical experience while deepening her understanding of how AI can support discovery across disciplines.
