First Project Share Event Hosted by PMO a Success!
On October 22, 2025, the UTM PMO Community of Practice launched its first Project Share Series event, bringing together staff from across the tri-campus community to learn from project work conducted in various spaces and contexts from around the university. The session aimed to foster engagement, share practical insights, and promote professional development in a collaborative and open environment. This inaugural event set the stage for future knowledge-sharing opportunities by highlighting real-world applications of project management methodologies and lessons learned.
This first event featured three outstanding presenters—Julie Zhu, Tara Fader, and Yan Tam-Seguin—each showcasing unique projects they led. Their presentations explored diverse approaches, successes, and challenges, offering attendees valuable perspectives on what can work in their specific contexts and new and creative methods to try in moving their project work forward. The interactive Q&A sessions sparked lively discussions, enabling participants to dive deeper into best practices and innovative strategies for managing complex projects.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the presenters for their time and expertise, and to all attendees for their enthusiastic participation. Your engagement made this event a success and reinforced the strength of our community. If you are interested in presenting a project at an upcoming Project Share event, please email utm.pmo@utoronto.ca—we’d love to hear from you!
