For the last two years, the MUI program has partnered with the Toronto Region Board of Trade to organize a case competition that integrates knowledge and skills developed across all first-year MUI courses. The final product counts for 15% of the course grade in each winter course and students are coached and guided by course instructors, industry stakeholders and special guests as they conduct their research and prepare for their presentations.

Industry Partner Testimonial

"At the Toronto Region Board of Trade, we look forward to working with MUI faculty to develop case competitions based on real problem to solve for our members, the business community across the Toronto region. Each year, the students amaze us with their diligence and innovative thinking, especially given the time constraints within which they work. The calibre of research, problem articulation, and proposed solutions that must balance innovation with practical implementation, is outstanding.  Each year, we have found something in each case competition that can inform our own research or business support program."
