Having completed his first year of the Masters of Science Sustainability Management (MScSM) program, Brad Allen has conducted numerous sustainability performance evaluations for individual companies as well as industry evaluations which include the apparel and parcel industries. He also created and successfully implemented an integrative marketing campaign for a local non-profit organization that increased youth engagement and attendance at their event. Through this experience, Brad has developed an interest in project management and discovered he is proficient at managing and influencing multiple stakeholders to work collaboratively in achieving the desired mutually agreeable project outcomes.

During his full-time studies, Brad has continued to work part-time at a private accounting firm and a not for profit environmental education organization.  He has gained considerable experience in business financial management through his work in filing personal and corporate tax returns and reviewing financial statements.  He has also gained operational management experience in his role at an environmental organization by; assuming leadership for a small team, managing initiatives that led to the development of new revenue streams, and implementing processes to increase efficiencies and reduce cost.

Brad hopes to leverage the MScSM program to discover how best to achieve a symbiotic relationship between the environment and commerce and develop innovative solutions designed to bring both systems working together for their mutual benefit.  The MScSM program will provide Brad with a strong foundation in both commerce and environmental science and the network he will need to pursue a career in environmental sustainability management.
