Bio

Ana Laura is from Mexico City and studied at Universidad Iberoamericana where she obtained the Chemical Engineering degree with Honorable Mention. After taking courses related to Renewable Energy she discovered her passion and decided to conduct her career toward that topic. She participated in research projects and three International Sustainability Congresses at the University.

Ana Laura worked for four years at Iberdrola Mexico, a multinational electricity company in Mexico where she successfully performed analysis related to the energy business identifying the affections of new policies and laws in the electricity business. She also developed power market analysis to elaborate executive reports for decision-making. She worked for a year at a consulting firm where she led a business and strategy plan of a cogeneration project of the main Oil & Gas company in Mexico. Also, participated in the development of a model to calculate the potential volume and income for oil fields bidding. Ana Laura participated as a volunteer in humanitarian missions where she identified the needs of marginalized communities and worked with a team to assist them.

Ana Laura loves to hear music and attend music performances. She loves outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. She has run four half-marathons and is planning to run a marathon. She also enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
