Students of the Week 8

Hassaan Abdel KhalikHassaan Abdel Khalik

Hassaan graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Science in Movement Science and a minor in Biochemistry. Following graduation, Hassaan worked at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation where he developed strong analytical and research skills while studying the efficacy of current bariatric surgery practices.

Hassaan is a former member of Canada’s National swim team and has represented Canada at several international competitions including two world championship. He was also a member of Michigan’s 2013 NCAA Championship winning team.

Preethika GnananandamPreethika Gnananandam

Preethika graduated from York University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Studies.  She also holds a Bachelors in Science from the University of Toronto.  In addition to her academic pursuits, Preethika has been an active volunteer in her local community and is a trained in Indian Classical dancer. 

Preethika’s passion for working with people and her interest in seeking creative solutions led her to choose the MMI program at UTM. She hopes to utilize the training offered in this program to broaden her skills set and to pursue a leadership role in the healthcare industry. 

Chengyun LiChengyun Li

Chengyun completed his undergraduate studies in two multidisciplinary areas - biological physics and nutritional science.  He has exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills which he gained through his research experience.   He has participated in several mentorship programs at the University of Toronto.

Chengyun is interested in working for an organization which seeks to develop business optimization strategies. During his spare time, he enjoys playing table tennis and chess.
