Students of the Week 6

Samriti ChandiSamriti Chandi

Samriti completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Immunology at the University of Toronto. She held leadership positions with the Sikh Students Association and Students Offering Support and was awarded the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award.

Samriti feels strongly about advocating for accessible and affordable healthcare and hopes her experience in the MMI program will lead to a rewarding and impactful career in the healthcare, biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.   

Bertie ZhangBertie Zhang

Bertie is a graduate of Queen’s University and specialized in Life Sciences. She has held numerous student leadership positions and was an active volunteer with Soul Food, an organization which helps feed the hungry and eliminate food waste.

Bertie is passionate about healthcare innovation and emerging biotechnologies, especially in the field of oncology. She seeks to apply her curiosity, communication skills and her problem solving skills to a rewarding strategy-focused role. 

Juli KimJuli Kim

Juli graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science Honours, specialization in biology. She is a passionate advocate for social equity and was actively involved with the AMS Social Issues Commission which seeks solutions for racial and socioeconomic oppression. 

While at Queen’s, Juli co-founded and was the President of the Association of Korean-Canadian Scientists and Engineers Queen’s Chapter.  She received top honours for her academic achievements and balanced school with a part time job working 25 hours per week.  She is seeking opportunities in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or retail industries.
