Students of the week #6
Laura is a graduate of McMaster University, where she was a member of the Rock Climbing Club and various intramural sports teams. During her studies, Laura pursued an array of international job experiences including teaching English in Hong Kong and working in a genetic sequencing lab at deCODE Genetics in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Once Laura she completes her MMI studies, she hopes to secure work in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
Throughout his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, Alex completed a research project at CAMH involving computational neurobiology. This experience allowed Alex to improve his critical thinking and analytical skills. During his free time, Alex enjoys all types of sports and living a healthy lifestyle.
Upon completion of the MMI program, Alex hopes to secure a position that will allow him to make positive impacts in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
Mahnoor has extensive volunteer and extracurricular experience with local not-for-profit organizations including Humanity First and The Citizens Foundation. These experiences have helped her to develop exceptional time management and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong work ethic.
Mahnoor hopes the MMI program will help her develop valuable business acumen to complement her science background. Post MMI, she hopes to work in a project management or business development role within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
