Nicole Mittmann, MSc, PhD, is a highly regarded scientist and health system leader who joined CADTH in May 2019 as its Chief Scientist and Vice-President, Evidence Standards. She also holds a faculty position at the University of Toronto in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and the Institute of Health, Policy, Management and Evaluation and is an Associate Scientist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
At CADTH Dr. Mittmann leads a diverse portfolio that encompasses Health Economics, Research Information Services, Scientific Affairs, including Scientific Advice and Patient Engagement, and Implementation Support and Knowledge Mobilization. As advances in biomedical innovation continue at a rapid pace, Dr. Mittmann also oversees the modernization of methods that is necessary to manage the uncertainty that arises with the advent of personalized medicine, artificial intelligence, real-world evidence, and more.
