How did your experience in the MBiotech program contribute to your career success?

The MBiotech program was my launchpad, allowing me to bridge my strong science foundation with business acumen. Its emphasis on teamwork helped me thrive in a cross‑functional, fast‑paced, constantly evolving workplace. Exposure to diverse guest speakers and entrepreneurs broadened my perspective, challenged my thinking, and inspired me to frame each project within broader healthcare application, not just the task at hand.

What are some of the key skills and knowledge you acquired during the MBiotech program that are still valuable to you today?

Throughout my time in the MBiotech program, I gained key skills that I’ve continued to sharpen over the years. I learned to be agile, to work collaboratively with a team toward a shared goal, and to communicate in a targeted, audience‑aware way. I built confidence and resourcefulness to tackle new, ambiguous problems. The program emphasized professional networking, nurturing relationships, and taking ownership of my career path. Most importantly, it instilled in me a commitment to continuous growth and learning in step with the industry’s evolution.

What advice would you give to current MBiotech students or recent graduates who are entering the job market?

There are many paths and opportunities ahead, and no single “right” road to take. From my own journey, I’ve learned that careers are often non‑linear. Focus less on the job title and more on the skills you want to build, the experiences you seek, and your long‑term aspirations (even if they aren’t fully clear yet). Prioritize foundational skills early; they compound and open doors. I’ve mentored several recent graduates and can confidently say you have a bright path ahead. Be tenacious, resourceful, and grateful for every learning opportunity—even the tough ones (it’s good to get those out of the way early in your career, learn, and keep moving!) Don’t forget the strong network of MBiotech alumni who came before you; many are doing remarkable things and are willing to connect. Finally, be kind to yourself and others along the way... you've got this!
