Professor Jessica Burgner-Kahrs Elected to Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities
Congratulations to Professor Jessica Burgner-Kahrs, who has been elected to the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW), one of Germany’s most prestigious scholarly academies.
Founded in 1700 by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, the Academy counts among its members some of history’s most influential scholars, including Albert Einstein, Max Planck, Immanuel Kant, and Carl Friedrich Gauss. Burgner-Kahrs was elected to the Academy’s Engineering Sciences Class in recognition of outstanding scholarly achievement.
Academy membership is a lifetime honour awarded through election and is regarded as one of the highest academic distinctions in Germany.
