Professor Ian Graham grew up in Canada and studied Mathematics and Physics at the University of Toronto as an undergraduate. He received his Ph. D. in Mathematics from Princeton University in 1973. After a year at M.I.T. as a C. L. E. Moore Instructor, he returned to the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in 1974, with duties divided between the St. George campus and UofTM. He has spent research leaves at the University of California at Berkeley and Stanford University.

Professor Graham's research is in function-theoretic aspects of the theory of several complex variables, especially the generalization of results in geometric function theory in one variable to higher dimensions.
