Charlie Rackoff Award

CHARLIE RACKOFF AWARD

This award honors the achievements of Charles Rackoff, Professor of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, on the occasion of his retirement. Prof. Rackoff was awarded the Gödel prize in 1993 for his work on interactive proof systems and zero-knowledge proofs. In 2011, he was awarded the RSA Award for Excellence in Mathematics for his work on cryptography.

The award is granted annually to a UTM student in the Information Security Specialist or a Specialist or Major in Computer Science. Financial need and academic performance in CSC363H5 and CSC373H5 are considered.
