Banking students excel in national competition

Four undergraduate students from U of T Mississauga have outclassed more than 220 opposing teams from across North America, Europe and Asia to finish in the top 25 of this year’s National Investment Banking Competition.

Jun Yo Kim, Sally Lam, Jin Young Han and Jiachen Yao, known as the UTM Fast Four, were among the top 25 competing in the finals in Vancouver last week.

Science journal honours paleontology professor

Students and colleagues, past and present, have paid tribute to the ongoing work of U of T Mississauga professor Robert Reisz in a special edition of paleontology journal Comptes Rendus Palevol.

The academic tribute, known as a festschrift, features an editorial chronicling Reisz’s contribution to the field of paleontology as well as 11 research papers written by former students.

New North Building reconstruction named

The latest addition to the U of T Mississauga architectural landscape now has a name.

Deerfield Hall will be the official name of phase one of the North Building reconstruction project.

The University of Toronto's Governing Council approved the title Deerfield Hall last month following a campus-wide naming contest.

A committee consisting of the senior administrative team selected the name after reviewing almost 200 submissions from students and staff.
