Associate professor Judith Poë

UTM professor honoured for 'remarkable breadth of service' to U of T

Blake Eligh

Judith Poë has been named as one of two recipients of the Vivek Goel Faculty Citizenship Award for her “extraordinary service” to U of T.

Poë, an associate professor with the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences, has worn many hats during her 45-year career with U of T Mississauga. She has served on committees and councils, helped negotiate and shape policies, advised faculty and staff developing new programs, served on editorial boards and volunteered for various national and provincial groups that promote her twin passions: chemistry and teaching.

The Vivek Goel award is named for the former U of T Vice-President and Provost and recognizes exemplary university faculty who have a sustained record of administrative contributions. It is among a number of honours celebrating outstanding contributions by members of the U of T community that will be awarded at a reception in early May.
