U of T Mississauga to hold groundbreaking for Innovation Complex

The University of Toronto Mississauga will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Innovation Complex on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. on the Five-Minute Walk between the William G. Davis Building and the Kaneff Centre.

The four-level Innovation Complex will showcase the university’s Institute for Management and Innovation – a new model for business education. In addition, the Complex will house other spaces including the Office of the Registrar, the Departments of Economics and Management, and a rotunda for events and social gatherings. The Complex, which will cost $35 million, is scheduled to open in September 2014.

U of T Mississauga vice-president and principal Deep Saini will offer opening remarks and welcome guests. Other speakers will include U of T president David Naylor, Mayor Hazel McCallion of the City of Mississauga, chair of Governing Council Richard Nunn and Chancellor Michael Wilson.
