In photos: UTM class of 2026 celebrates spring convocation

Excitement, pride and sheer joy were on full display as graduating students from the University of Toronto Mississauga accepted their degrees during convocation ceremonies this week.

The class of 2026 was celebrated at several ceremonies held on the St. George campus, where many reflected on their time at UTM.

“I think I’ll most remember the people that I met,” said Nica Calandriello. “The friends, the faculty members that really inspired me to go forward in my career, as well as pursue upper education.”

Ridwan Iqbal said he’d remember the little moments.

“Like waking up in MaGrath Valley and seeing deer greeting me at my window,” said Iqbal, who lived in student residence.

“Walking home from class and trying to dodge all the geese on the way. Seeing everyone, saying hi on the Tim’s line, that’s what I’ll remember the most.” 

Cyrus Gazdar said the four years of his undergrad had flown by.

“Looking back, it was a really good time,” he said. “The friends I made along the way were incredible … The faculty and the academic experiences that we had were just amazing and it’s something I really will never forget.”
