Jessica joined the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre as the Graduate Support Strategist in August 2018. As the Graduate Support Strategiest, Jess conducts research on the effectiveness of UTM's graduate student programming, identifies opportunities for the growth and development of graduate student programming, and coordinates the delivery of academic and professional skills support to UTM graduate students in one-on-one, small group, and classroom contexts. Additionally, Jess coordinates the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre's Program for Accessing Research Training (PART).

Prior to joining the RGASC, Jess completed her Honours Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts at UTM and worked in the Department of Geography and the Masters of Biotechnology Program. Jess' experiences at UTM led her to recognize her passion for enhancing the graduate student experience at UTM.
