Our Stories

The University of Toronto has students from over 170 countries and regions, all of whom have diverse experiences and viewpoints.

The ‘Our Stories’ series started in 2021 as a tri-campus, virtual discussion for Black History Month where a panel was created to hear directly from U of T students. Black international students were invited to share their stories, personal narratives, and lived experiences while having the session facilitated by another international student. Click here to learn more through the Varsity newspaper article, covering the February 2022 Black History Month event.

Based on positive feedback, the ‘Our Stories’ series has been expanded to commemorate various awareness months celebrated by different communities at the University of Toronto campuses.

This program is hosted by the tri-campus international offices (Centre for International Experience at St. George, International Education Centre at Mississauga & the International Student Centre at Scarborough).

The schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 academic year is posted below. Please register for a virtual session today!
