January 16: Effective Interviews Workshop

Preparation is crucial to an effective job interview. Learn what questions to expect and how to present yourself positively. The session includes hands-on practice interview and feedback.

January 19: Taste of Home East Asia

Unleash the foodie within by participating in the IEC’s ongoing Taste of Home series where we bring you an array of authentic East Asian dishes to tantalize your taste buds and expose you to a whole new food culture! Our East Asia Taste of Home is in collaboration with UTM Republic of China Student Association where we will be celebrating and learning about the traditions and significance of Chinese New Year.

January 22: SIN Clinic

You must have a Social Insurance Number (SIN) in order to work in Canada or to file taxes. To obtain a SIN, international students must be registered full time in an academic program. To facilitate this process we have invited Service Canada staff to come to UTM and issue SINs to eligible students.

  • You need to bring with you:
    • Your passport,
    • A valid Study permit, OR
    • A valid Co-op work permit
