At UTM Abroad, we believe that international experiences can change your life. So, we created two streams of short-term international experiences that will build your global awareness, connect you to a network of like-minded peers and give you a space to develop personally, professionally & academically. And, they fit within your regular UTM semester. Both our Academic and Co-Curricular Experiences offer in-person and virtual options to explore the world in a variety of ways.

UTM Abroad Academic Experiences
For in-person opportunities, you will travel to a location pertinent to your studies and deepen your learning through first-hand experience. For virtual opportunities, you will be connected with partners worldwide for engaging discussions and activities to connect your learning to lived experiences. Before, during, and after the international experience, UTM faculty will connect the course content back to the global experience. It is important that you are enrolled in the corresponding course to participate in the Academic Abroad Experiences. If you have questions, please reach out to us.
UTM Abroad Co-Curricular Experiences
Learn about a topic of interest in a unique location, participate in unparalleled community engagement initiatives that will expand your global mindset and develop an understanding of community development and social change. In-person opportunities allow you to travel to the international community, and virtual opportunities allow you to connect with the international community online.
