Indigenous Initiatives

The Waawaahte Northern Lights Initiative provides many opportunities for students to engage with various Traditional Indigenous cultures. The intention of these programs is to provide a space for transformational learning and growth to take place while building strong partnerships and an appreciation for the knowledge of Canada’s Indigenous peoples.

There are four main areas within the portfolio of the Waawaahte Northern Lights Initiative:

Students at native reserve working outdoors

It is important to note that students are welcome to attend all events associated with the WNLI, whether they are of Indigenous ancestry or not.
