IMI Grad Day: A Meet & Greet with Future Students

Jessica Molisak, IMI Communications & Media Intern

On Saturday, November 19th, the Institute for Management & Innovation (IMI) hosted its third annual Grad Day.

It was an opportunity for prospective students to meet with faculty, current students and admissions staff in an effort to learn more about IMI’s Graduate programs, as well as receive a first-hand look into the University of Toronto Mississauga campus.

This year’s Grad Day was held at the Innovation Complex’s rotunda, where curious students and their families received the opportunity to learn more about Graduate programs in Accounting, Innovation, Biotechnology, Sustainability Management, and Biomedical Communications.

Yahya Al-Mashni, a fifth-year Digital Enterprise Management and Computer Science student at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus, attended the event in an effort to learn more about the Graduate Programs offered in Management, and whether or not they were the right fit for him.

Al-Mashni found the atmosphere at Grad Day to be a, “very relaxed environment, with a student-oriented focus.”

Following the highlighted presentations of the day, prospective students received the opportunity to speak to program recruiters and support staff, as well as current students enrolled in the Master’s programs at the University.

Inderjeet Vaid and his daughter Pragya, a prospective student, thought the event was well-organized and informative.

As admissions and recruitment look forward to reviewing incoming applications for the upcoming year, the staff at IMI would like to extend their gratitude to those in attendance at this year’s event.
