Beate Ensminger, MMI Progam Coordinator
Beate is the Program Coordinator for the Master of Management of Innovation program at IMI. She has a fascinating background which includes extensive experience leading recruitment and admissions activities as well as administrative operations which make her a valuable asset to the MMI program. Beate enjoys working closely with students, faculty and staff, and she sits on the Graduate Education Council (GEC) at U of T as an administrative staff representative.
Julian Gaspini, MFAcc Program Officer
Julian is the Program Officer for the Master of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc) program at IMI. He is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in higher education, specializing in student support, recruitment and marketing. He has acquired significant experience collaborating with different departments across UofT and has held diverse roles across various departments within IMI. He has a passion for fostering student success, building strong community connections, and enhancing the overall student experience.
Wesley Mack, MMPA Recruitment, Placement & Employer Relations Manager
Wesley has a career background in the areas of recruitment and human resources. He started his career as a human resources generalist for Loblaws before moving to specialize in the recruitment of CPA accounting and finance executive professionals. He has worked for multiple departments for the University of Toronto including U of T’s Career Centre, UTSC Management Co-op, Rotman Commerce and now with IMI at UTM. In his current role with the MMPA program, he works with prospective students, provides coaching support for current students seeking employment and builds relationships with employer partners to assist students in pursuing their careers in the area of business management.
Alyssa Madrasto, MUI Program Coordinator
Alyssa is the Program Coordinator of the Master of Urban Innovation (MUI). She has been with the MUI program since its launch in 2020. She has been in a wide variety of student support roles and has gained extensive experience working for various departments across UofT. She has a deep passion for working with students and has really enjoyed helping to build the MUI program and see it grow.
Shena Neermul, MScSM Program Coordinator
Shena is a proud UTM alumna with a wealth of experience across various departments at both UTM and St George. Her diverse background equips her with a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the academic landscape. Shena is passionate about sustainability and is particularly devoted to the MScSM program, cherishing its vibrant culture and collaborative spirit. Her commitment to making a positive impact is evident in both her professional pursuits and her ongoing engagement with the U of T community.
Tessa Qendro, MBiotech Program Coordinator
Tessa has developed a robust portfolio within the program, from organizing events to building meaningful connections with students and alumni. Max Brant, a senior MBiotech student shares “Tessa is one of the most caring people I know. She always has her door open and is willing and excited to chat with students.Tessa makes us feel like we’re part of a family, which is why we all affectionately call her “Momma Tessa”. My experience in MBiotech would be vastly different without her!”

Amit Dalaya, MMPA '24
Amit Dalaya is a distinguished recent grad of the Master of Management & Professional Accounting (MMPA) program. Graduating from the 2-Year MMPA stream in 2024, Amit joined the program with a Bachelor of Science. Amit’s leadership and community service is evident through his roles as a UTGSU Rep, EY Campus Ambassador, MMPA Student Council member, and recipient of the 2024 University of Toronto Student Leadership Award.
Nathalie Estephan, MUI '25
Nathalie holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture & Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut. Nathalie’s experience as a landscape architect has taken her through different paths, from not-for-profits to entrepreneurial free-lancing, to finally years of design practice in the private sector, leading on several master planning projects across the Middle East. Nathalie’s aspirations of making an impact on communities, interests in how cities function, thrive, and grow, and quest for ways to build more prosperous regions led her to the selection of this interdisciplinary master program.
Khadijah Hashmi, MMI '25
Khadijah graduated from UTM in 2022 with an Honors Bachelor of Science, specializing in Psychology. She always wanted to combine a technical component into her career path, and started working in healthcare, where she gained valuable experience in medical billing, business management, and healthcare delivery which shaped her decision to find a graduate program that would help students with a science background apply their critical thinking skills to business concepts. She hopes to leverage knowledge from courses in economics and data analytics in a strategist and operations role within the digital healthcare and artificial intelligence industries.
Rachel Lam, MBiotech '25
Rachel is a second-year MBiotech student in the biopharmaceutical stream, currently working as a Forecasting and Market Insights Intern at Eli Lilly. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour, and before diving into the world of pharma, she worked as a Rates Analyst for Fixed Income Derivatives at RBC Capital Markets. What she really appreciates about this Master’s program is how it merges business acumen with a solid science foundation—it’s given her the skills and connections to break into the pharmaceutical industry and make a real impact.
Anne Mayengo, MScSM '25
Anne completed her undergrad at McGill University. She is in her second year of the Master of Science in Sustainability Management (MScSM) program at the University of Toronto with a strong foundation in ESG, climate risk, and sustainability strategy. Her research focuses on how leadership drives the integration of sustainability practices across various organizational departments to achieve meaningful transformation. During her internship at Sun Life, Anne conducted research on sustainable investing and women’s financial needs, contributing to the development of inclusive financial products and policies. She also created a sustainability education platform to boost employee engagement. As Event Co-Chair for The Energy Network, Anne organizes events promoting sustainable energy and equitable transitions.
