Drupal is an open-source content management system (CMS) that allows users to quickly and easily set up their own sites with no knowledge of HTML. Our main website at www.utm.utoronto.ca runs on Drupal, as well as this site that you are seeing now. Drupal websites are available for academic departments, administrative departments and research lab websites.

Benefits of Drupal websites include:

  • Quick to set up. Have your whole site up in a few hours. (Subject to the approval of the Office of Advancement)
  • Keeps costs down. A Drupal site is free for your department. No maintenance fees; no upkeep costs.
  • Manage it yourself.  Simple and easy to update your own content.
  • Stay WCAG 2.0 AA compliant. Tools are designed with accessibility in mind and we can keep you on track.
  • Use branding-approved themes. No need to worry about many branding issues.
