We can help you with the technology used in the classroom and teaching. Our services include:

  • Providing multimedia presentation equipment (projectors, sound and microphones), both fixed and mobile to the classrooms
  • Booking services and technical support for the above.
  • Special audio projects
  • Consultation on Audio-Visual installations
  • Video recording and production
  • Equipment service and maintenance
  • Teleconferencing (Audio Only)

The University of Toronto is in the process of simplifying and standardizing classroom A/V equipment. For more information, refer to the Standard Classroom Podiums and Lecterns website.

Note: Please ensure that you have public performance rights for all copyrighted content.

Equipment requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before.

Equipment requests can be made:

  1. Through the Online Room Booking System (ORBS) -- for those that have the correct access rights
  2. Or by submitting a ticket

Ready to Book A/V for Your Student Group Event?
Step 1: Make sure your student group is recognized through Ulife. To do that, please click on the following link:
Step 2: Book your preferred room through Conference Services
Step 3: Book Audio Visual equipment through Classroom Technology with at least 10 business days advance notice.
Please note:
A/V requests are accepted only from the president or the vice president of your student group Fill out the A/V Request Form and submit it to Classroom Technology at least 10 business days in advance of your event. Check and check again confirming all your A/V needs - we do NOT offer a refund or an exchange policy. Refer to the Price List for equipment rental charges.
Sign the Terms & Conditions form and submit with payment at least 10 business days in advance. A signed Terms & Conditions form is not accepted unless accompanied with payment. Payment is accepted by cheque only. No refunds or exchanges allowed after payment is received.
Step 4: Once your booking is approved, I&ITS will send a confirmation email and, if needed, a customized podium and/or Wi-Fi username and password
