About CSAM

About Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM)

Every year during the month of October, organizations around the world work together to raise public awareness around online safety, privacy, and cybersecurity.

This October, UTM Information & Instructional Technology Services (I&ITS) in collaboration with U of T’s Security Matters team have planned a number of events and activities for Cybersecurity Awareness Month in conjunction with other groups across the UTM campus.

Event: Women in Cyber (St. George campus)

Palo Alto Networks in partnership with the Leading Cyber Ladies Meet Up group in Toronto is proud to host an evening that brings together women in cyber and IT to discuss corporate cyber security as a business enabler and why it needs to be ingrained into an organization’s culture.

In this session, attendees will hear from inspiring cyber security and technology women leaders, who will share their insights on the rapid changes to the cyber security industry resulting in the growing need for cyber security professionals. They will also provide career advice to women cyber security professionals, sharing their personal perspectives.
