The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally recognized assessment of English language skills for candidates who need to study or work in countries where English is the primary language. More than 10,000 education institutions, faculties, government agencies and professional organizations around the world recognise IELTS scores as a trusted and valid indicator of ability to communicate in English. General information is available at IELTS.org.

Which Test is Right for You?

Depending on your educational, or professional goals, candidates can choose the Academic, or General Training test. Regardless of your choice, each IELTS test is designed to assess your language skills in four areas: listening, reading, writing and speaking.  The listening and speaking components of the test are the same for both versions.

Total test time for either test is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
