If you’re curious about these questions and want to learn how to enhance your experience in team-based settings, this workshop is for you!
This Level 2 mindfulness workshop follows-up on the learning experience in Building a Relationship with Mindfulness for Academic, Personal and Professional Settings with a focus on the integration of mindfulness in team-based settings. Theory and experiential learning practices will be threaded throughout that tie to academic, professional, and personal settings.
Prerequisite: You must have taken the "Building a Relationship with Mindfulness for Academic, Personal and Professional Settings" workshop OR you must have a knowledge of mindfulness and have practiced for a least 3 hours in total.
In this interactive workshop, you will:
- Explore questions including:
- What is a team?
- What are the benefits and downfalls of teams?
- What makes a team effective?
- What is a psychologically safe team?
- Examine how the power of vulnerability can support psychologically safe teams and strengthen team relationships
- Apply mindfulness theories through experiential learning practices that support cultivating caring and productive team environments
- Practice using mindful communication skills in team-based settings
- Evaluate your learning experiences through comparative reflections in-class
- Create and expand your community network through connecting with your cohort in online discussions
