Make Adobe Photoshop Your Friend: A Practical Introduction

Adobe Photoshop is one of the most popular digital image-editing applications in use today. This industry-standard tool used by illustrators, photographers, animators and designers allows users to manipulate and correct existing photographs and images, work with type, use drawing tools, and combine all three to create complex, layered compositions for print, and screen.

Workshop participants will:

  • Understand the function and best usage of the program
  • Practice non-destructive photo manipulation, and photo editing including colour correction, cropping, and basic retouching
  • Create their own composite image using text and imported images
  • Learn to manage file sizes and export for both print and screen

Students must have access to “Adobe Photoshop” to participate in this workshop. If you do not have a license to the software, you can download a free trial version via https://www.adobe.com/ca/products/photoshop.html.
