Lauren Cullen is a queer writing consultant, dissertation coach and critical craft educator. She holds a Ph.D. in the joint Communication and Culture program at Toronto Metropolitan and York University, and connects the social practice and conventions of craft as a tool for critical education grounded in an anti-racist, anti-colonial and feminist queer crip frameworks. Her art-based research methods include designing and constructing rugs, facilitating community workshops and documenting her process through video. She holds an MA degree from the Women and Gender Studies Institute and an HBA in Women and Gender Studies and English. Lauren’s passion for critical craft studies and facilitating accessible education rivals her enthusiasm for dogs, cats and pizza.
