Mary Ann Protacio

What do you do at UTM?
I manage the delivery and pickup of mail across campus and process outgoing mail for Canada Post. 

What do you enjoy most about UTM?
Most colleagues are welcoming and friendly, and I love the beautiful campus scenery, especially in the fall. I also enjoy driving the Kubota around the grounds.

What is your favorite part of your role?
I genuinely enjoy meeting people from all areas of campus. My role gives me the opportunity to connect with many members of the UTM community.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy cooking, going for walks, camping during the summer, and spending quality time cuddling with my dog.

What is your favorite food?
I love exploring a mix of different cuisines! My favorites include Filipino dishes and traditional desserts, along with souvlaki, and butter chicken.

Fun Fact
Growing up on a farm in the Philippines, I spent my younger years helping my parents planting rice and vegetables and caring for animals—I even helped goats and pigs give birth and administered their injections!
