Experiential learning opportunities are expanding in number and scope at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

The Department of Historical Studies currently offers experiential courses in two of its programs:

                • HIS498Y5 Internship in History

                • WGS435Y5 Women & Gender Studies Practicum

Each of these courses provides an opportunity for upper-level students enrolled in the relevant Major or Specialist Program to apply the expertise they have gained in the academic discipline concerned in a part-time, unpaid work placement. Work done in these courses is supervised jointly by an academic supervisor (the faculty member acting as instructor of the course) and a work-site supervisor.
