I am a registered social worker with a master’s in social work (MSW). I have over 10 years of experience working with youth, newcomers, racialized women and 2SLGBTQ+.  My primary focus has been working with youth in providing support with managing anxiety and stress, improving self-esteem, and building confidence, dealing with emotional overwhelm, stressors related to living away from home, relationship issues, and academic distress. I am trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and body-based therapies. I work from an anti-oppressive approach and trauma informed care. I use a client-centred approach where I support students making informed decisions. Together, we will work to identify strategies to resolve the challenges that bring you to counselling, whether it be a journey of self-discovery and exploration or developing tools which will nurture reflection, confidence, and growth.

Areas of specialization: Anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, stress, depression, worry, emotional overwhelm, ADHD and conflict.

I can provide counselling services in English and Spanish.
