Lauren DrouillardWellness & Resiliency Counsellor Health & Counselling Centre
I strive to bring an open mind, curiosity, honesty and kindness to my work with students; recognizing that as human beings, we all have our challenges and can benefit from support. I have worked with individuals with eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, burnout, and self-injuring behaviours. I am a registered social worker with a degree in women’s studies & feminist research, who aims to bring an anti-oppressive framework to counselling sessions. I have training in CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), and ACT (acceptance commitment therapy), and use an integrated approach of these methods, to support students.
