I am a cisgender white woman, born and raised in the small town of Belle River. I moved to the GTA to study social work, and the rest is history!

 Experience / Areas of Expertise

My goal is to create a space comfortable enough to chat honestly about what feels hard for you right now. To do this, I try to bring a down to earth, non-judgmental lens to our work; understanding that life has inevitable tough times for everyone & as humans, we're all just trying our best to get by. 

As a feminist, I aim to talk about hardships from an anti-oppressive perspective, looking at the intersecting identities & life experiences folks hold & how these ultimately affect what we're going through. My hope is to learn from each other, offer support/strategies, tap into your power & maybe even share a gentle laugh along the way! I've worked with folks struggling with their relationship to food and their body, stress & overwhelm, people pleasing & boundary setting, perfectionism, anxiety, panic & depression, and relationship challenges. 

I have training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), CBT-E (Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and pull tools from these models to best support each person's unique needs. I have an honours degree in women’s studies and feminist research, a masters degree in social work, and have been fortunate to work in hospital, community, and campus mental health. I feel passionately about trying to make mental health support more accessible and normalized. I'd love to meet you!

Things I love

Family time, strong coffee, heartfelt greeting cards, the smell of peppermint, brisk walks, all things chocolate, the outdoors, a good belly laugh and a fellow weirdo to share it with!
