Ask the Nurse is a year-round health promotion initiative by the Health & Counselling Centre (HCC) that connects students with Health Promotion Nurses for information, tools, and support.
We're here to help you make informed, healthy choices to support your academic and personal success.

Where to find us?
Campus 'Pop-up' Booths
Our pop-up booths rotate across campus, offering students a chance to drop by, ask general health-related questions, and access free information and wellness resources.
Wellness Den Workshops
We also host weekly drop-in sessions on Fridays from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wellness Den, a cozy wellness space focused on supporting student learning and success.

In partnership with Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL), we offer:
- Bi-Weekly Pop-Ups at Oscar Peterson Hall or Roy Ivor
- Pop-Up Workshops
Workshops & Trainings
Ask the Nurse also offers customized workshops and mental health training for students, staff, or faculty who may be interested.
Topics include:
- coping with stress
- mental health literacy
- healthy relationships
- imposter syndrome
- managing exam anxiety
- sleep well to live well
