Maanjiwe nendamowinan

Maanjiwe nendamowinan (formerly North Building phase B) opened in summer 2018.  The building will be certified LEED Silver or better.

The building features:

  • Over 80% of the waste from the demolition of the old building was recycled or reused 
  • Recycled and locally-sourced building materials
  • A green cleaning program
  • Low-emitting paints, sealants, coatings, and flooring systems
  • The building is extremely water-efficient, using 88% less potable water than a conventional building
  • A rainwater reuse system, with a capacity of 20,000 gallons.  The collected rainwater is used for irrigation and toilet flushing
  • Energy-efficient mechanical systems, which are expected to use 22% less energy than a conventional building
