Hello and welcome! I am so happy that you have chosen to start exploring UTM. You are quickly going to realize what an incredible place awaits you! One day is all you will need to realize what a diverse, friendly and modern campus we have to offer, all rooted in a commitment to outstanding academic quality and student success. If there is one piece of advice I can give to you, it’s to make sure you find the university that will provide you with a strong academic foundation, but also give you the chance to explore and develop as an individual. I am so grateful that U of T gave me the freedom to explore many programs and once I truly found my passion, the flexibility to tailor make my degree! Once I discovered my passion in academics, the University also offered me the opportunities to develop my personality. I saw my studies come to life through international exchange programs in Chile and Jerusalem. I was able to meet people from around the world and try the most delicious food through the wide array of student and cultural clubs. I also had the opportunity to develop leadership experiences while playing on sports teams and participating in student council. I hope you find the university that will impact your life in the way U of T has impacted mine. I highly encourage you to come out for a campus tour or attend one of our multiple events to discover all the ways that UTM can become your passport to success!

Although I've been at UTM for over a decade, I still find myself smiling when stepping out of the car in the mornings because I love this campus! I chose UTM as a student because it offered me a world class U of T degree in a smaller community environment similar to my hometown. I've stayed on campus for my career because I want to give back to the community that gave me so much to be thankful for and look forward to. I very much credit my time at UTM with the education, career, and colleagues and friends I hold so dear and who have made me the person I am today. As UTM's first ever Manager of Pathways Programs, I connect with students coming to UTM through non-traditional pathways: those transferring from college or other universities, mature students who have been away from formal education for some time and require a bridge to university studies, as well as students whose first language is not English but who are academically strong and just need a little extra language support. I am here to answer questions about the admission requirements, application process, and transition opportunities for this growing non-traditional population of students. With my experience working in Recruitment, Advising, and Transfer Credits at UTM, I'm hoping to make the transition to our community a smooth and exciting one!

Welcome to UTM! My name is Megan, and I'm one of the Recruitment Officers at UTM. From the moment I arrived on campus in 2009, I knew I was in the right place. I love that this is a green campus surrounded by wildlife. It's also conveniently located between both Hamilton (my hometown) and downtown Toronto. I was also drawn to UTM for its passion for innovation and development. We are constantly growing! There are so many resources to take advantage of, and dedicated staff and faculty who are passionate about student success. I lived in Oscar Peterson Hall in my first year on campus, and worked with Student Housing and Residence Life for the remainder of my undergrad. UTM embraced my passion for learning and provided me with opportunities that shaped me into who I am today. I had an amazing experience as a student here, and after 2 years of working and travelling the world, I'm glad to be back on our beautiful campus to welcome you as you embark on your next big adventure - your undergraduate career! I look forward to meeting you and speaking to you about the opportunities available for you at UTM. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with me.

Welcome to UTM! My name is Jen, and I am one of the newest members of the Recruitment team here at UTM. I began my career in Student Recruitment after graduating with my BA from Ryerson University, and a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Mohawk College. I am both thrilled and proud to finally call UTM home. Our campus is green and vibrant; our community culturally diverse and engaged; our faculty and staff are dedicated and truly care about our students, and our degrees are varied and internationally recognized. There is no place I'd rather be! I look forward to sharing my passion for UTM with you, and am happy to answer any questions you might have.

Welcome to UTM! My name is Laura, and I’m the Admissions and Recruitment Assistant at UTM. I’m a recent graduate of UTM, and I was immediately drawn to this campus for a number of reasons. I visited UTM during Fall Campus Day, and the first thing I noticed was the beautiful greenery and wildlife, as well as the modern architecture. After speaking with first year professors in my field, I was inspired to learn more from them and explore everything that UTM had to offer. UTM offers the perfect combination of a small campus atmosphere, while being close to my hometown of Toronto. Because I was so close to home, I decided to commute during my time as a student here, taking full advantage of the convenient shuttle bus to and from downtown Toronto and the fare-free U-Pass for Mississauga transit. I became a work-study student in the Office of the Registrar in my second year, and I’ve worked here ever since! I’m so excited to continue my journey with UTM, while welcoming you to start your journey here as well. I look forward to speaking with you about all UTM has to offer, so please don’t hesitate to connect with me!
