General Arts & Science Summer Visiting Student Opportunity

Are you currently completing your second semester of the General Arts & Science diploma? Apply to take a summer course at U of T Mississauga as a Visiting Student! 

This is a great opportunity to gain university credit while experiencing student and academic life at the University. And if you choose to continue your degree studies with us in the future, this credit will be retained to your academic history in addition to the credits earned through the college pathways agreements!


  • Must have completed/be completing semester two (2) of the General Arts & Science diploma;
  • Must be academically strong with a minimum grade point average of 3.5+ (roughly 80%) at the end of that second semester;
  • Should have the recommendation of your program coordinator to enrol in summer courses at U of T Mississauga;
  • If selected, you may take up to 1.0 credit during the summer – either a full-summer course (Y*), or two half-summer sources (F* and/or S*)

Review the summer schedule at and contact the Manager, Pathways Programs ( to determine what course(s) would be best for you.

Application Deadlines

Enrolment into F* & Y* courses: May 1, 2020.
Enrolment into S* courses: July 1, 2020

A few notes:

  • While completing the application form, you are given the option to authorize the Manager, Pathways Programs to verify your final results with your home college automatically. If you do not select this option, you will need to submit an official 2019/2020 final college transcript to our office directly.
  • If you do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements listed above upon final review, your registration will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued (if applicable).

After Applying

  1. Submitting unofficial documentation
    Submit a copy of your unofficial college transcript to date (showing completed first semester, and in-progress second semester courses) to the Manager, Pathway Programs at

  2. Getting your offer
    A response to your application will be sent to you via email within one (1) week of receiving the required documentation(s). This email will also include further instructions and your next steps.

  3. Confirming your final college grades
    If you did not authorize us to verify your final results automatically, you will need to submit your official final 2019/2020 college transcript to our office.
