Building an EXP Course

The Experiential Learning Designation (EXP) is applied to courses that have a minimum of 10 hours per half-credit course, and 20 hours per full-year course.
 

Some examples of courses that would typically have this designation:

  • Internship Courses
  • Community Engaged Service Learning courses
  • ROP Courses
  • Independent Research Courses
  • Courses with field trips
  • Courses with laboratory or  practicum components
  • Courses where students learn in teams based on case studies
