Student Spotlight: Diana Moldovanu Winner of an Outstanding Performance award

The Department of English & Drama is excited to recognize Diana (Roxy) Moldovanu who received the 2025 Outstanding Program Performance Award. 

“I can easily say that my time at UTM was made vibrant by the English and Drama Department. The Department afforded me many incredible opportunities throughout my undergraduate degree: I was able to edit for With Caffeine & Careful Thought, serve as the Academic/Social Events Director of the English & Drama Student Society, and conduct research for the Complete Works of Margaret Cavendish Project. These opportunities not only allowed me to hone important academic skills but also provided me with a strong sense of community.

As an English Specialist, I was lucky enough to take a variety of courses offered by the Department, and I enjoyed every single one. I met spectacular professors who have supported me immensely in my academic journey, as well as amazing, like-minded peers, many of whom I am sure I will stay in touch with well beyond my undergraduate years. I am honoured to be graduating with an award for outstanding performance, and I am incredibly grateful to every member of the Department I have encountered during my degree—my success could not have been possible without them.”
