Sessional Instructor Search

UTM Economics has started a search for a Sessional Instructor to teach International Trade Theory, ECO 364.

Course number and title: ECO364H5 International Trade Theory

Course description: An analysis of the nature, effects and policy implications of international trade theory; the theories of comparative costs and reciprocal demands, factor reward equalization, international tariffs and customs unions.

Estimated TA support: 1 Teaching Assistant (70 hours)

Estimated course enrolment: 50

Class schedule: Mondays 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (times subject to change)

Sessional dates of appointment: January 1st to April 30th

Salary: per Collective Agreement

Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching and mastery of subject area. Previous experience in teaching this, or related course, at university level PhD in Economics

Description of duties: All normal duties related to the design, administration and teaching of a university credit course,
including preparation and delivery of course content; supervision of teaching assistants; development, administration and
marking of assignments, tests and examinations, including make-up tests; calculation and submission of grades to university
officials; holding regular student office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student contact.
